NA MO A DI DA PHAT. (Homage to the Lord Buddha) "Zen Master, how can the world live in peace, joy, love, harmony, equanimity." Zen Master replies... "What the world needs now is "Right Moral Conduct". What is right moral conduct? Observance of the Six Great Perfections (paramitas). One does not have to become a Buddhist to Uphold the SIX GREAT PERFECTIONS- which have been proven to work, for more than 2,500 years, and, is a time honored method to produce the Blissful state of "HEAVEN ON EARTH". Without practicing the SIX GREAT PERFECTIONS we beings live "out-of-balance" with the natural law of the Universe, and, continue to create (karmically) our individual and societal sufferings (dukka). It is the duty of every Dhamma-Master to preach to everybody, to "WAKE UP!"the sleeping people, to correct "false views", to teach "right views". Please accept my dhamma-teaching of Six Great Perfections for the good of all sentient beings everywhere! SIX GREAT PARAMITAS (perfections) 1) Dana Paramita. (giving). There are 3 types of giving. The first is the giving of money and material possessions. The second is the giving of ones time and talents. The highest form of giving, is the giving of Dhamma (truth)- for Dhamma (truth) will set one free from Dukka (sufferings). 2) Sila Paramita (precepts). There are the 5 lay precepts. The 8 disciple precepts. The 10 dhamma-teacher precepts and the 250 Bhikku (monk) precepts. At the very least all beings should uphold the 5 lay precepts. These five are: 1) Not to destroy of life. 2) Not to take that which is not given. 3) Not to lie. 4) Not to engage in sexual misconduct. 5) Not to partake of intoxicants which harm the body or cloud the mind. If all people only uphold the 5 lay precepts- their lives would be greatly liberated from suffering. 3) Kshanti Paramita (Humility and patience). With ones self and others. 4) Virya Paramita. (zeal and perserverance). With ones self and others. 5) Dhyana Paramita (Zen meditation) Learn how to practice the "body/mind" disciple of Zen Meditation for good health and mental balance. 6) Prajna Paramita. (wisdom/compassion) By upholding the first 5 Perfections one's body and mind mature naturally with Compassion for all sentient beings. One "transcends" the mundane and becomes "transformed". Just as the seed transforms into the mightly Oak Tree. Same but different. Do you understand this important point. Practicing SIX GREAT PERFECTIONS transforms self and others. One blossoms forth fragrantly with the Wisdom and Compassion enabling one to reach-out and with clarity of mind and heart help liberate the sufferings (dukka) of all sentient beings. The 3-fold benefits of Prajna Paramita are: 1) the 5 senses (seeing, tasting, touching, smelling and hearing) and the mind are tamed, 2) the inner condition of mind of thoughts, speech and actions are tamed, 3) the Six Perfections eliminates the 3 Poisons of Greed (grasping), Hatred (anger), and Ignorance (delusional-mind thinking). If only human beings- of all faiths, of no faith- please practice Six Paramitas, for ones' self and for others. Buddham saranam gacchami- I go to the Buddha for refuge.
